Almudena Trigo is founding partner and Chairwoman at BeAble Capital, a leading Spanish management company in Science Equity. She is also member of the Board of Directors of SpainCap (the Spanish Association of Private Capital), and jury member of the EIC Accelerator (flagship program of the European Commission). Being a Telecommunications Engineer, Molecular Biology Ph.D and Master in Executive Development, she brings together extensive experience as a scientist, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist. At the head of BeAble Capital, she has founded about 30 Spanish companies from Science in the fields of nanotechnology, advanced materials, photonics, micro and nanoelectronics, and industrial biotech, and has increased the generation of science-based industrial companies in Spain by more than 10%. Its scientific career is marked by a strong multidisciplinary component, being a pioneer in Spain in the field of Synthetic Biology, and having developed it in reference centers both nationally, such as the National Center for Biotechnology (CNB - CSIC) and the National Center for Oncological Research (CNIO), as well as internationally at the National Center for Space Studies (CNES) in France.
